ARTIST SERIES X COURT CULTURE
Court Culture, the Miami HEAT in-house clothing brand, has done an Artist Series collection in the past with local Miami artists/talent. In 2022, they wanted, for the first time, to collaborate with the Miami HEAT in-house designers. Though we already make all the designs for the brand, this was an opportunity to spotlight each of us instead. The goal was for each designer to reimagine the HEAT brand in our unique styles. This was a such an honor and blast to create in my first year.
My vision for this collection was to combine my Tarot card reading hobby at the time with my handwritten design style. I liked the idea of showcasing the HEAT Championships, so this was my way in giving it that nod. We even played with the narrative of the cards "predicting" the championships, which was fun. I drew my own take on the Miami HEAT word mark. Then my take on the flameball was to incase it in a card with 88 being the number to tie it back to the year the team was established.

This was a collaboration with our in-house video team. Court Culture wanted to spotlight each one of us through video as well to really give the fans the whole story. This video played during my spotlight home game, which was such a cool experience to see and hear myself on the jumbotron!
